Driveway Kiln 2023

Using an old updraft gas kiln and a weed burner I made a small cross draft kiln to spray soda and use small pieces of wood for reduction. The bottom of the kiln failed to reach cone 10 but got to cone 6. Good information for the next firing. I will change the stack and lower the first shelf to a 1/4 brick height. That will raise the bottom and block the flu exit a bit differently. I also opened the bag wall to a finger width to help with flame movement to the bottom of the kiln.
